Two very different topics – goths and health – are colliding and its called Health Goth! Health Goth is a lifestyle that combines the traditional (and stereotypical) Gothic lifestyle while wearing of tight, black, highly branded athletic gear that doesn’t even need to be for athletics.
If you’re obsessed with fitness, sterility and well…black, then this countercultural rebellion could be for you! Health Goth ambassador Caitlin Mary Cunningham states:
“Healthgoth for us IS NOT A TREND! It’s not high fashion, skinny photo shopped models wearing sports gear, runway attire, tumblr pictures of pretty boys and girls wearing black & white branded gear. No. I personally do appreciate and admire and love the imagery/art of all of the above, but NO! This isn’t the core of Healthgoth.” Alright pretty cool!
“Think about the satanic bible for a second!?” Oh yeah, true, the santanic – wait WHAT?
“It talks about creating your own destiny, being your own God—pretty much taking control of your life. That’s healthgoth. At the end of the day you get one body & one shot at living. Taking care of oneself is key. Staying healthy, keeping in shape while being true to yourself is HEALTHGOTH.” Okay, back to relatively cool.
The Heath Goth revolution has exploded on Twitter and Pintrest and is the currently one of the hottest topics in the underground-clothing-brand-retailer world. But don’t Goth’s and exercise clash? Well, kind of. Think what you will of this ‘#HealthGoth Fittness Bible’:

Even Johnny Love, a Chicago producer admits “What started as just a Tumblr meme I’m trying to turn into an actual fitness movement. Health Goth is a completely made-up subculture.” And we can all agree that made-up subculture is a big part of today’s world.

Heath Goth even has it’s own Etsy page. Although HG claims to take it one step further than Drake and Kanye’s favourite brand Hood By Air, Health Goth is literally black fitness clothes. But hey, whatever floats your boat.
